How to Access Our Services

To access any of the Legal and Non-Legal services, you’ll first speak with an Intake Officer, who will guide you through an intake process to understand your needs and confirm your eligibility for our services.

You can contact us via telephone, email, website or visit one of our offices in Ceduna, Port Augusta and Port Lincoln.

What Our Client Support Officers Can Do

At Family Violence Legal Service Aboriginal Corporation (SA), our Client Support Officers (CSO’s) provide practical, culturally safe and trauma-informed assistance to help you navigate difficult situations.

Our client support services is optional and confidential.

Our Client Support Officers can;

  • Provide information and referrals to other services.
  • Attend appointments and meetings with you for support.
  • Help you find and access support services.
  • Assist with completing forms and paperwork.

Our Specialised Support Areas

Family Law Matters

  • Provide non-legal information and guidance.
  • Attend appointments and Court Hearings with you.
  • Connect you with services such as mediation, counselling and Indigenous Family Liaison Officers at the Court.

Child Protection Matters

  • Offer information and referrals.
  • Support you at appointments and meetings.
  • Help you access specialist support services.

Intervention Orders Matters

  • Provide information and referrals.
  • Attend appointments and Court Hearings with you.
  • Link you with other relevant services.

Victims of Crime Matters

  • Give information and referrals.
  • Assist with obtaining identification documents.
  • Attend appointments and connect you with additional support services.

Additional Support We Offer

  • Support during stressful processes.
  • Help with Transport arrangements for appointments (where possible).
  • Support you during your legal appointments with our lawyers (optional).
  • Advocacy to ensure your voice is heard.
